Spanish restaurant paper tablecloth sangria poem
©2001 Rick McKinney
Wal-Mart boy dreamed a ruby red sangria dream
of rollerblades and serenades and
sweet September hand grenades and
all the things no longer made by Santa's elves or
man at all and
how the gulf twix them and us
grew ever wider and so and thus and
yet it went
our souls so spent
America
America
go roll away and dream of Spain
ruby red sangria rain.
